Forest Hill Elementary School

Project Cornerstone Continues Remotely

May Book Highlights from 'The Ok Book'

Our Program Asset for May is Asset #18: Young people being encouraged to spend time each week virtually connecting to the community via sports, clubs, or organizations at school and/or directly in community organizations. Our Forest Hill parent readers have been enjoying remotely reading May's Book "The Ok Book" written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. In it, the author and illustrator celebrate the real skills and talents our students possess, encouraging, and empowering them to discover their own individual strengths and personalities! Whether "OK" personifies an 'OK climber', an 'OK lightning bug catcher', or an OK whatever there is to experience, in this book "OK is an OK place to be!" And being OK just may lead to the discovery of what makes one great!

Shobha Neelamraju (pictured, reading on campus earlier this year), a parent reader this year and mom to 1st Grade twins Yash and Myra, says this about her experience as a Project Cornerstone reader:
"Cornerstone is a fantastic initiative that helps aid in building a foundation for our children and future generations. I strongly believe in, and look forward to continue reading and nurturing our kids to encourage good behaviors."
