A big thank you to Lalita Godbole. She has been working so hard to integrate more STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs and activities onto our campus. I encourage all families to get involved. You will see STEM posters hanging on our campus walls. Please stop by with your child to read the posters. Forest Hill students in Mrs. Cittadino, Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Durham’s classes are participating in a cultural exchange with the Mallow Community National School in Northern Ireland. Students have used Google Hangout to communicate face to face. Students have been writing pen pal letters also. We are thrilled to have this opportunity for our students. Students are able to improve their writing and conversation skills while learning about new county and culture. The attached photo is of Mrs. Hill's class work that is posted at the Mallow School.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share more information about the purpose of our math-a-thon fundraiser. The Common Core State Standards were created to ensure all students are ready for success after high school. Our students are preparing to enter a world in which colleges and businesses are demanding more than ever before. A part of this success will be shifting learning to reflect our technological society. Today technology is no longer a stand-alone subject and is integrated to support the learning of core subjects. While our district does provide technology equipment and funding yearly, the goal of our Forest Hill math-a-thon fundraiser is to go above the district standard in supporting technology integration. Our district is doing a lot to support this but I know as a community we would like to do more. I appreciate the support our community gives to us each year with the generous donations and look forward to your support in making the math-a-thon fundraiser a success.

Please help Forest Hill increase our technology equipment by supporting our Math-a-thon fundraiser. It's our only fundraiser devoted solely to technology. Our school would like to purchase more mini iPads, continue AR subscriptions and purchase printers for needed classrooms. We greatly appreciate your support!

One of the District Governing Board’s main functions is setting Board policies (BP) that guide our administrative regulations (AR). The Board reviews policies regularly and updates them as needed. We disseminate the updated information in a variety of ways, including in parent handbooks and in the Policy Highlights bulletin that is being sent home with students. Copies of all policies and regulations are available from the District office or online at campbellusd.org/policy.
