Student privacy and confidentiality are top priorities for us. A recent lawsuit against the California Department of Education (CDE) regarding confidential student data is impacting all school districts across the state. We want to make you aware of this case and provide you with important information about it.

Campbell Union School District was not involved in the lawsuit and is not the subject of any of the suit’s allegations. Our District is not required to disclose any student information, nor does it intend to do so.

Click here to read the message from the Superintendent and see the objection form online. Hard copies also will be available from the school office after 10 a.m. Tuesday 2/23.

Our Jump For Heart fundraiser was a huge success. Our fabulous Forest Hill families raised $6,000 for the American Heart Association! The Stanford College Jump Rope Team performed at our heart celebration on February 11 which was exciting. The students participated in jump rope activities on the playground and had lots of fun! We want to thank the following parents: Russell Davis, Monika Gustafson, Grace Ho, and Juliana Lima for all their help. Also, our beautiful heart posters were provided by students in Ms. Hardt and Ms. Hennesy's classes.

Your donations for Jump For Heart are greatly appreciated and will help make more hearts healthy and happy.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Friday, February 12 was a STEAMy day at Forest Hill. We had 23 different STEAM activities going on campus wide. Students in grades TK-5 participated in dynamic and engaging learning opportunities. We had two CUSD STEM teachers here to teach lessons using our new Dash Robots and our iPads to learn coding. Mrs. Schultz and Mrs. Schlief used iPads to teach stop motion technology using students' art work. We also had 3 dedicated parent volunteers sharing their passion for STEAM with our students. Mr. Parameswaran worked with in a  kindergarten classroom to teach programming using the Scratch program. Mr. Hand supported a fifth grade classroom with learning about robotics. Dr. Bryson was worked with three first classrooms to teach students about Veterinary Science. I greatly appreciate the support of our teachers, district and parents for making this event so successful and enriching for our students.

Our Jump For Heart community fundraiser kicked off on January 19 with two spirit assemblies. Our students are doing jump rope activities during morning and lunch recess as well as during their P.E. time. The donations our students raise help support the American Heart Association to fight heart and lung disease and to provide research for new medicines and procedures to promote healthy hearts. The fundraiser envelopes are due Friday, February 11, and should be turned in to your student's classroom teacher. On February 11, we will have a school-wide Jump Rope Celebration Day on the playground beginning at 1:15 PM. Parents are welcome to come! Thank you for your heart healthy support!
