Happy New Year! As we begin the New Year, I wanted to take the time to celebrate our community. The greatest treasure of Forest Hill is the people. Our dedicated staff is second to none. Our PTA is creative, energetic and always supportive. Our parents and family members are supportive and helpful every day. Our students are a joy to work with each day. They are excited to learn and follow our school rules daily. I feel extremely proud to say I am a member of the Forest Hill Community. I know the next 100 days will be exciting, challenging and full of joy for our students, staff and parents.

Are you interested in making a little extra money at lunchtime? Do you love children? If so, we really need your help. Please consider applying for a job as a Noon Duty Assistant. The hours are 11:45-1:00. Although we prefer you to be available Monday through Friday, fewer days will also be considered. A High School Diploma is required. If you are interested in applying, please come to the Forest Hill office for an application.

Please walk our campus with your child to review the PBIS behavior signs posted around our school. Also, please review the attachment with your child about the expected behavior for our campus. Students need to be able to explain the expected behavior for all locations on our campus. We need all families to support our after school behavior expectations. Students who are waiting for their older sibling to be dismissed need to wait quietly at the picnic tables. Students are not to be playing on the field or blacktop from 2:20-2:47. School is in session for grades 4th and 5th. Thank you for supporting our teachers and students. Also, if adults need to use the restroom, please come to main office. Student bathrooms are for children only.

With the holidays right around the corner, it is time to think of the “season of giving.”
Please bring your gift card donations to the front office or to your classroom teacher by December 7th. You may want to order your gift cards through our school's Script program.
Last year, Forest Hill was very successful in adopting several families during the holidays and brought joy to many children. There was a great outpouring of caring and support as students brought in over $2000 in gift cards for Forest Hill families in need.
With open hearts and hands, we can truly make this a season of giving. Thank you!
