Second Grade Egg Engineers

This week, our second grade "egg-gineers" designed and built their own containers meant to protect an egg from a high fall.

Students had freedom to use whatever materials they wanted, but the container could not be larger than 7 inches square. We had several successful egg drops and quite a few scrambled eggs! Afterwards, students discussed what they could learn from their project if it didn't survive the drop. They talked about how they could modify their design if they were to try it again. It was amazing to see the wide variety of projects that students created!
