Forest Hill Elementary School

SBAC Testing Starting Soon

State Testing will begin on May 2nd through May 19th. All students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will participate.

Please make sure your child arrives to school on time each day.  Testing can be stressful and being late to school will only add to your child’s stress.  We want all students to have every advantage to do well!

So that our students may have their best opportunity to succeed and demonstrate all that they’ve learned this year, we ask that you...

  • Have your child get a good night’s rest.
  • Have your child eat a healthy breakfast and arrive with a healthy snack.  A breakfast which is high in protein and low in sugar is best to build stamina for testing and helps promote focus.
  • Make it a priority to arrive on time.  The first bell rings at 8:10 AM and testing will begin right after attendance is taken.
  • Schedule all activities and appointments after school hours.
  • Make travel plans for the summer, not when school is in session.
  • Encourage your child to “do their best”, but do not put any undue pressure on them.

Our Principal’s Coffee that is scheduled on Thursday, April 28th @ 8:30AM will focus on what this assessment is and how to support your student. The flier with the zoom link will be shared with parents through Parent Square next week.  In the meantime, you may also want to check out these resources for more information:
