Lunar New Year Celebration
On February 1, Forest Hill celebrated Lunar New Year with a festive parade presented by the kindergarten classes.
Students wore red, which symbolizes good fortune, luck, and prosperity. They created their own dragon headpiece or dragon masks and played musical instruments as they walked. The parade ended with a "fireworks" display -- students had fun stomping on bubble wrap to make popping sounds. It sounded just like real fireworks! Forest Hill Falcons love learning about celebrations from around the world.
