Classroom Mission Statements
Forest Hill teachers are elevating student voice through student-drafted mission statements in each classroom.
We know that when learners know the WHY, in addition to the WHAT, they perform better. This year, teachers are asking students what is important to them in their new classroom space. How will they, as students, show up for each other? Each classroom's mission statement will use grade appropriate language. Each will be different because they are created by and committed to by the students in the room. In this example, students are adding their handprint as their commitment. A different classroom will be featured each week.
