Why is Attendance Important?

Thank you to all the parents who are making sure that their child is at school on time every morning.

Students are considered on time when they are in their classrooms by 8:10 AM.

Research shows that children who are in school or participate in school activities every day do better in school.

The Reason?

• When students miss a day of school, it actually puts them two days behind their classmates
• Students who are absent an average of 15 days a year, miss a year’s worth of school by their senior year.
• Students who are 10 minutes late every day, miss 30 hours of instruction during the year

Arriving on time and staying the full school day is important for your child’s education. It also develops sound work habits, which will serve your child well in the future.
