Showing Empathy for Essential Workers

Forest Hill first graders showing empathy towards our essential workers.

As a principal, I am always proud of the many things our students, staff and community members are doing. I am especially pleased to hear that our own first graders,  Myra and Yash, are using their time while sheltered in place to thank their community members who are out there providing services to us. They believed that their thank you notes could bring smiles to these essential service workers in the most testing times for the humanity. They saw tears in the eyes of the mail lady and garbage truck driver when they handed over the cards. Let’s all remember that a thank you goes a long way and we need to continually support each other especially during trying times.
