Forest Hill Elementary School

Planet Falcon Fun!

WOW! What an amazing event we had last weekend! For those who missed it, we had our first annual Forest Hill STEM Festival called Planet Falcon. We had booths on many educational and engaging topics. We also had many community organizations come to our event as well. Thank you to the Campbell Fire Department; Rural Ambulance Company; Open Space Preserve and the Campbell Amateur Radio Service. Our own students lead the following booths for everyone to explore and learn.

  • Human body exploration
  • Dinosaur fossil excavation
  • Diet coke and Mentos explosions
  • Extracting strawberry DNA
  • Computer games
  • Building a Rube Goldberg machine
  • Making your own batteries
  • Quizzes and optical illusions
  • LEGO roller coasters and Rubik’s cube solving robot
  • Quad-copter and mini blimp flights
  • Exploring sound and music

A big thanks to our parent volunteers for helping to make Planet Falcon happen. I greatly appreciate the hard work, time and effort Mrs. Lalita Godbole put into this event. I look forward to next year’s Planet Falcon!
