Forest Hill Students Creek Clean Up Day

Saturday, September 17 was Coastal Clean Up Day.  A number of Forest Hill students and their families helped to clean up about a half mile of the creek behind our school. Many hands made light work.  The volunteers removed approximately 55 pounds of trash and 15 pounds of recyclables out of the creek. The creek was clean in a little more than an hour. A few of the volunteers were disappointed that there was so little trash to pick up!  The eager Forest Hill volunteers include brothers Andrew and Kevin Chen, Christopher Henry, Celena Pirkl, Kalie Hand, David and Ellie Foulkes, Emily Crecelius, Amelia Ocher, and Will Louderback. Former Forest Hill students lending their hands to the task include Natalie Hand, Joseph Crecelius, Tadayoshi Pirkl, and Julia and Olivia Ocher. There will be another creek clean up in late May.
