4th Grade Art Program Highlights

Fourth Grade has finished 4 projects so far. We started with birds in the style of the artist James Rizzi. Next we did oil pastel sugar skulls for Dia de los Muertos. Then we looked at the art of Sandra Silberzweig and made cubist portraits in chalk pastel. We just finished learning about shading to make shapes look 3 dimensional by making oil pastel snowmen like the illustrations in the book Snowmen at Night. ~Mrs. Hardt
