Forest Hill Elementary School

First Week of Full Day Instruction

This week has been a momentous week for all of us since it has been a long time that all our students have been back on campus together.

The children are thrilled, and we are happy to be able to engage with them again in person. It fills our hearts and has reminded us why we are in the field of education. We wanted to share some shout outs:

Teachers/Staff- Thank you for your hard work, flexibility, and commitment to our students. This year has been a tough one for everyone. We recognize how hard you work to bring the best to our students,

Students- For working hard and adjusting to all the new safety protocols. They have been doing an awesome job with wearing their masks and playing in their assigned zones. Also, thank you for remembering to walk your bikes and scooters when on campus. Safety is always first!

Parents- Thank you for making sure you are dropping off your students as close as possible to their drop off times, remaining in your cars, and only having one adult drop them off. We know it has been nice seeing each other. Please remember that for safety reasons we need to minimize crowds so thank you to those who are moving off campus as soon as they drop off their little ones and during pick up time.

PTA- They have been our rock! Thank you for your willingness to help in any way possible and for the amazing luncheon in honor of teacher/staff appreciation week. It was delicious!

Friendly Reminders:

•Wednesday is early dismissal: K-3 @ 11:45, 4-5 @ 12:00 and SDC @ 12:15

• We have a designated coned off area on campus for 1-3 siblings to wait for their older siblings to get out. This way parents can come at the later time to pick up all their children. This will prevent parents from waiting around and help with congestion. We have the same system for the mornings, as well.

• If your child is ill, keep them home. We need you to reach out to our health clerk, Denise Figueira, and let her know. When you call or email, it is very helpful if you let us know what your child’s symptoms are. Students with any COVID symptoms will be sent home and will be able to return to school when we have received a negative COVID test or a letter from the doctor stating that their illness is not related to COVID.

Attendance # (408) 341-7132
