Forest Hill Elementary School

PTA Open Positions

We need your help! We have many open positions for our Parent & Teacher Association. Without proper support, we will not be able to offer our students extension opportunities.

Board Positions:
  • President - Head of our Forest Hill Elementary PTA - This person will  oversee all the various fundraisers, events, volunteering,  and day to day handling of the PTA.
  • Co - President - Assist the President in the organization and running of the PTA. Co-President is usually head of Nominating committee for next year's board. Draft monthly newsletters and keep the calendar updated, order and manage marketing supplies.
  • Treasurer - Work with Board to create the budget each year, bank deposits, write checks, update budget throughout the year.
  • Secretary - Take notes at board meetings and association meetings, create meeting minutes for PTA records.
  • VP Fundraising - Organize and run various Fundraising drives through out the year. Fall/beginning of the year Direct Donation Drive is usually the biggest. Math-A-Thon and Walk-A-Thon are typically run by the respective teachers, and VP Fundraising usually provides any support or help they might need in running these.

Committee Chairs

  • Silent Auction - The chair person will take care of our silent auction in October, contacting vendors and donors for baskets and organizing baskets with classroom leads and teachers and handling the sales. Work usually starts in Summer and is done in Fall.

  • Dining Night out - They would have to organize our various Dining Night out fundraisers, work with local restaurants and set up the events. Most of this work can be done remotely.
  • Book Fair  - We have two Book Fairs annually. The person incharge would have to take care of ordering and selling the books during those book fairs and coordinating with volunteers to help out. Book Fairs are usually after school, so this person would have to have flexible work schedule

  • Garden : Organize monthly Garden work days (one Sunday a month), where parents and kids come into the garden and clean, take out weeds and do maintenance, to keep our school garden healthy and available to kids.
