Amanda Haughs Recognized Nationally As A Digital Innovator

Amanda Haughs, fifth grade teacher and technology integration coach at Forest Hill, is being honored as A Digital Innovator by the PBS Learning Media Center. Out of the thousands of applicants from around the nation, Amanda was selected as one of the top 30 digital innovators. According to PBS, “she overwhelmingly demonstrated passion for integrating digital media and technology in the classroom."

Amanda says that the best part of her job is watching students get excited about learning and being able to witness the “A-ha!” moments. She is passionate about finding the tool, strategy or subject that each student needs in order to feel inspired and motivated to learn. Over the next year, she will be among a prestigious group of top educators that will receive professional development opportunities from PBS, including a trip to the ISTE Conference in Philadelphia this summer.
