3rd Grade Art Program Highlights

Third Grade has worked on 5 projects so far. We started with watercolor suns from Mexico for our Square One project. Next we learned about Pablo Picasso and made Cubist style Halloween themed collages. Then we learned about value in color and a few facts about Jellyfish to do a chalk drawing on top of our value paintings. (A bit of STEM ). We learned that the Paisley patterned originally came from India and Persia and we painted gold paisley shapes and then added pattern to them with oil pastels. Now we are learning about how to draw a landscape and show depth in our artwork. ~Mrs. Hardt
